Knitting Olympics and a freebie!

First, I want to give you a heads up that Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (and friends) are running the knitting olympics again this year. I took part four years ago and had a great time! The premise is that you cast on a project as the Olympic Flame is lit and finish it before the flame goes out. It's a personal challenge. You can find out more details and register here. I won't be taking part this year because I have too many other projects on the go, but I'll be cheering the rest of you on.

Now for the freebie. I have a copy of the 2009 Quilt calendar shown above which contains patterns for 13 different quilts. I hate to throw it out so if you would like it, leave a comment!

  4. Gee....I seem to always be doing something like that, as with that mile long scarf!!!
Maybe a pair of socks, or that devil hat in domiKNITrix.
Not that I would wear it regularly, just when I wanted to annoy people!!! (yes, I would wear it regularly!!!)
Sorry...it's been a long day and I am ready for feet up and hot tea!

    XXOO!!

  5. Okay, I have officially started the knit-a-long.
It is the Snow Devil Hat from domiKNITrix, I have already had to rip out the front once, and heaven help me when I get to the ties and horns!
It is, of course, in Canadian RED!!!
For some this might be a small project but I guarantee....I will be lucky to get this done.
    MA---it's all your fault!!! LOL!!
Off to rest...feeling rotten this evening; did too mich.

    XXOO!!

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
