Incoming! DUCK!!!!! Got'im!

We're surrounded.

We're circling the wagons.

THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!!!!!

GET OUTTA THE ROAD!!!!!!!!

DUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WEAPONS AT THE READY!!!!!!

WE'RE GOING IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Yep, it's a scene from either 'The Birds' or 'The Fly'. We are surrounded by flies! Somehow, we've had a 'hatching' and there are literally hundreds of them in the house. They are all over everything and are divebombing our heads. They are totally stupid (fortunately) but the grossness factor is over the top. We're gaining on them, but they keep coming. If you don't hear from me in a week, send supplies......)

I've been thru that before. And one year it was lady bugs. And another year it was ticks! Yuck, yuck, yuck!! I actually had some climbing up my interior walls. Ewwwwwwwww.

Are they the famed Canadian black flies? Do they bite?

How about good ole fly strips

  5. Maybe you could make a hat with fly strips hanging down off it.
In Oz they hang corks off their hats with string so the flies don't sit on them.

  6. LOL, when were you here? Fruit flies are our problem at the moment and it's hard to keep them away. Things (food and fruit) have covers on them so that the little buggers don't get to them.

  7. That is horrible and annoying. I laughed when someone suggested fly paper. I can remember those things with sticky brown paper hanging down. I believe they worked but don't even know if they still make them. I usually buy the mosquito thing that hangs and put one in the garage so it gets them before they get in the house. Too many trees around us and not enough sun.

    Good luck
