Winter!

This is the sight that greeted us when we got up yesterday morning and is still there this afternoon. The sun is shining so I was able to get a few pictures. These two trees are at the back of our property (along with several others). I don't like winter, but I can appreciate its beauty!

ooohhhhh you live in a christmas card. here we have to cover our trees in fake snow, and paste cotton wool on the windows while we sweat through a roast lunch and christmas pud in 104F temps. snow is very very pretty - ive only seen it once in real life - pretty, but wet and cold....

  2. what;s not to like? extreme cold, slippery ice, darkness starting at 4pm, extra clothing to drag around, cars that are hard to start, hats that smoosh your hair, glasses that fog up, heating bills that rival the GNP... :-)

  4. You know I really don't mind winter. It's great for quilting! And I have spent a winter in Australia and I really missed the snow and cold fresh air at Christmas while there.

  5. Hi MM
    Isn't the snow glorious....NOT!!!
It is a 4 letter word to me....
Quilt Pixie had my feelings about winter very accurate!!!
I guess the only good thing is first of all it is very beautiful.. and second I hole up in my studio and have no outside commitments to weed the garden or cut the grass!!!
Anyway we are stuck with it, so I guess I will just have to put on my big girl panties and DEAL WITH IT!!!VBG
    Have a great day..
    PS
