The Blob (otherwise known as knitting?)

Here lies 'the blob'. Two years (almost) in the making and it's STILL NOT DONE!! I will never win any speed records with my knitting. It will be (if it ever grows up) the Einstein coat as shown below.
The pattern is this one from Sally Melville's 'Book 1: The Knit Stitch' book.
Tomorrow I will be searching for funky buttons for it. Eternal optimist as I am, I figure I might just finish it sometime in the next year (or three). My long-suffering DH is taking me to the 'CreativFestival' in Toronto for the day, so it's unlikely I will be doing a blog post. Just gossip amongst yourselves!

It looks like it will be pretty nice when you get it done. I like the color very much.

Have a great time tomorrow, we're going to a compost festival. Sounds funky!

  3. Not much further to go. You'll enjoy wearing it when its finished...er..speaking from experience and as a newby knitter. Just keep on going.

  4. Have fun at the festival. Your blob will be lovely when done. And as long as you enjoy the process what does it matter how long it takes.

  5. Love the coat - keep knitting, and your crazy patchwork is beautiful. I like doing crazy patchwork but have not embellished it as heavily. Will have to have another go and add more decoration.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
